Emerald Team Highlights from DRNI ECR Day

The Emerald team recently participated in the DRNI Early Career Researcher (ECR) Day, a vibrant event bringing together emerging researchers working across dementia-related fields. The day provided an excellent opportunity to showcase ongoing work, exchange ideas, and engage with the latest developments in research focused on Lewy body dementia and related conditions.

Across both poster and oral presentation sessions, the quality of research on display was exceptional. Early career researchers demonstrated strong scientific insight, creativity, and a clear commitment to advancing understanding in this important area. The breadth of topics and methodological approaches highlighted the diversity and strength of the research community.

A particular highlight for the Emerald team was the success of Charlotte, our TRDA PhD student, who was awarded the prize for Best Poster. Her work was recognised by a judging panel that included both academic experts and individuals with lived experience, underscoring the real-world relevance and impact of her research. This achievement reflects her dedication and the high standard of her contribution.

Overall, the event was a valuable and inspiring experience, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing in driving forward research in Lewy body dementia. The Emerald team looks forward to continuing to build on these connections in future events.
