Painting a Scientific Picture: Art, Brain Health, and Lived Experience explores how creative practice can deepen our understanding of neurological conditions and open up new ways of communicating complex scientific ideas.
The article follows artist Vincent Devine’s time as an artist-in-residence with the EMERALD-Lewy team, where he collaborated with researchers and people with lived experience of dementia to explore new ways of connecting scientific insight with personal stories.
The experience highlighted to the team the powerful role of creativity in making research more accessible, fostering empathy, and bringing lived experience to the forefront of brain health conversations.
